The city of Marrakesh is often the first contact with Morocco for many. Thanks to the budget airlines that offer numerous connections with Europe, the gate to this exciting, exotic country were open and Morocco is constantly gaining in popularity. Marrakesh - with its old markets along the tiny, winding streets in Medina, unique architecture and numerous palaces is a good starting point to begin your adventure in Morocco. Although, due to the culture shock, Marrakesh wasn't my favorite city in the country (Fez, Essaouira and Chefchaoeun were better) - it's still worth a visit - you'll have a chance to see how diverse and chaotically beautiful Morocco is.
Balloons over Bagan, Myanmar - Is It Worth The Money?
While visiting the majestic temples of the ancient city of Bagan in Myanmar, tempted by extraordinary photos and encouraged by the previous, amazing hot air balloon experience in Cappadocia, Turkey (take a look at my post about it), we decided to go for it and pay the extremely high price for the Balloon over Bagan flight. You live only once, after all. Not everyday you're in Bagan and can try something so unique - combining the air balloon flight with the overview of the whole magnificent area - miles and miles of land dotted with hundreds of various temples. All this in the warm rays of the rising sun. Sounds amazing, doesn't it? But in the end, was Balloons over Bagan really worth it considering the price?

Best Beaches in the UK - What to See in Cornwall
Visitors who come to the UK usually head straight to London, oblivious to the little piece of heaven - Cornwall. Cornwall, in my opinion, is the most stunning and picturesque part of the UK. It's not that touristic (not counting the local tourists from the UK itself) and it has all the qualities of the British Isles plus something extra - the incredible, paradise beaches - beaches you would never guess are actually in the UK! Cornwall is extremely colorful and dotted with exceptionally beautiful little towns. It's a perfect gateway for those who love hiking, adventure, off the beaten path destinations and breathtaking natural scenery. We have driven all over the coast of Cornwall and in this post I'd like to share my favorite and most spectacular spots in this southwestern tip of the UK.
Berat, Albania - The Town of a Thousand Windows
Berat in Albania is called "the town of a thousand windows". And that is so true. Looking at the beautiful houses "climbing" up the steep hill around the old town, you can't help but notice the seemingly endless number windows. Because Berat is beautifully situated in the mountains, it also offers amazing bird's eye views.
Both Berat and Gjirokaster (take a look at my post about Gjirokaster) are the most beautiful towns in Albania. Together with Mostar, Prizren and Ohrid, they form a district full of the distinctive Ottoman Empire architecture, unique for Europe. This region, although as rich in history and as attractive as the Spanish or Italian equivalents, receives hardly ever foreign tourists. But it's a good thing, you can explore what's best without annoying crowds and discover Europe's best hidden gem freely.
Best Places to See in Lofoten, Norway - Part 2 - Lofoten North - Paradise Beaches of the Polar Circle
In this part I will describe the three northernmost islands that we visited in Lofoten - Vestvagoy, Gimsoya and Austvagoya. Because of the Haukland beach (one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen), this is probably my favorite part of the Lofoten archipelago. Haukland, because of its appearance, could be easily located in the tropics - with white, soft sand and turquoise waters. However, I must admit, that it's nearly impossible to have a favorite place in Lofoten as virtually all the spots are equally incredible - there are no words that can describe the natural beauty of this place (as I mentioned so many times in the previous posts - Lofoten South and Vaeory island).
Mountains of Chapada Diamantina, Brazil
Chapada Diamantina National Park in Brazil turned out to be an amazing and unique off the beaten path destination - it offers what nature's got best! Caves, waterfalls, jungle and incredibly picturesque Table Mountains. It's everything that an adventurous person would love. In this post I'll focus on the mountains - I'll show you what they are like and what's the easiest way to get there.
Bucharest, Romania - The Real "Paris of the East"
Bucharest was the last place on our itinerary in Romania, before heading more east - to the mysterious and least visited capital in Europe - Chisinau (soon I'll write a post about it). Unfortunately, this time we didn't have a chance to make it to the Romania's Black Sea coast resort city - Constanta.
After visiting somehow fairy tale-like scenery and medieval towns of Transylvania, Bucharest seemed a lot different. More rough, grey and heavy. Hundreds of concrete blocks everywhere, landscape filled with brutalist architecture. But there is one place in Bucharest that lets you escape the gloomy, communist atmosphere - the Old Town. Many cities have been called the "Paris of the East" - Warsaw, Beirut or Budapest. However, Bucharest Old Town is the one that truly resembles the French capital the most, in my opinion.
8 Things You Did Not Know About the Island of Malta
Malta is an absolute gem in the Mediterranean, visited by millions every year and offering a unique holiday experience to travellers from around the world. The island is not only beautiful, but also rich in culture and offers great cuisines to try.
Malta offers more than beautiful beaches and perfect weather. There are actually a lot of interesting things about this island nation and its place in the European Union. That is why we are going to take a look at the 8 things you didn’t know about Malta in this article.
What to see in Panama City, Panama - Contrast Between Old and New
Typing "Panama City" in an image search engine will give you multiple results showing extremely modern and attractive skyline filled with a forest of impressive skyscrapers. Indeed, Panama City has the largest number of skyscrapers in Latin America and the view over the horizon is spectacular without a doubt. However, looking more deeply, the city is not as perfect. Often, the sidewalks between the glass high-rise buildings are damaged and some wires and other objects protrude directly from the ground. The pollution is another issue.
Nevertheless, Panama City is an interesting capital to visit, unlike some other cities in the region - such as San Jose in Costa Rica (take a look at my post about San Jose). Not many people know that Panama City, apart from the skyscrapers, also has a historical district called Casco Viejo which is an equivalent of an "Old Town". The architecture here is beautiful, very colorful and more and more buildings are renovated in a hope of bringing more life and tourists into this forgotten former heart of the city.
